CAIRNGORMS CHRISTIAN CENTRE

There's so much here it's difficult to know where to start but within the village there are working sheepdog demonstrations, sailing, canoeing & windsurfing, a dry ski slope, boat cruises on Loch Insh, a world famous Alpine nursery (with a cafe), several restaurants, a pub, two hotels, a working Highland estate with all sorts of sports included, fishing on the River Spey and in Loch Insh, an osprey site, several waymarked walking routes, a gliding field, numerous opportunities for watching birds and wildlife including deer, red squirrels, the famous Highland cattle, badgers, otters and finally (we think!) the Highland Wildlife Park.

Close to hand in Newtonmore is the Highland Folk Museum, between them Kingussie & Newtonmore have two 18 hole golf courses, more restaurants, cafes, another museum (this time about the Clan Macpherson), tennis courts, bowling greens, more walks, a Redcoat Barracks at Ruthven (which the Highlanders made a bit of a mess of) and much more we've forgotten about.
In the other direction is Aviemore and Boat of Garten (linked together and a little
further by the Strathspey Steam Railway) and Carrbridge which is home to the world
famous Landmark Centre which will keep children of all ages (right up to 80) occupied
for a long time -
